Drummer and producer Yusuf Ahmed is involved with expressive and sensitive music not limited to any particular style but rather approaching sound and creativity with an open minded and all encompassing approach.
Led by Yusuf, this group is made up of four musicians active in many leading musical forces (Frank Ocean, Jordan Rakei, Nubiyan Twist, Bahla). Etc Etc has developed a strong musical aesthetic through many hours of playing together live in all sorts of scenarios and venues around the country. In April 2021, Etc Etc spent 2 days recording completely improvised music at the Fish Factory Studios. Debut Album coming early 2022.
Originally inspired and having had the honour of playing alongside the legendary musical innovator Fela Kuti in ‘Africa 70’, Bukky is undoubtedly one of the most important afro beat musicians alive today. Connecting the musical worlds of Lagos and London, saxophonist and band leader Bukky Leo is at the heart of London’s live afrobeat scene with his 11 piece band, Black Egypt.
Unknown to Known offers an intimate dialogue of meandering melodies and textural grooves over resounding harmonic landscapes. At times euphoric and often dynamic, this music is always interactive, honest and raw.
Soothsayers are a London-based band who perform and record original afrobeat and reggae-influenced music. Founded in 1998 by sax player Idris Rahman and trumpeter Robin Hopcraft, they have released five studio albums and a series of vinyl singles on their own label Red Earth Records.

Valeria’s music hovers around pop/folk, indie and jazz. Much of Valeria’s writing is directly inspired by her own personal experience, with themes of family, relationships, and distance explored with a deft touch and a heartrending wisdom.
Anoushka Lucas is a singer, songwriter, composer, actor and theatre maker. Influenced by the creations of Carole King, Zadie Smith, Amy Winehouse and Fiona Apple, Anoushka Lucas has been writing song since the age of 14 and has been described as “an exceptional voice and a great songwriter” (Jamie Cullum, BBC Introducing 2017).
